Hybrid drone flies 77 miles

We have an exciting video to share with you! I’m delighted to share this video because it reminds me of the work we used to do with Quaternium a few years back, showing off the capabilities of hybrid drones. In this case, there is a 77-mile flight made by the company Valmont Industries, Inc. with a Carrier H6 Hybrid drone from the Harris Aerial company in the United States, with which we collaborate closely. Carrier H6 Hybrid carries a Loweheiser generator called HYBGEN 32

The product is designed for infrastructure inspections, which are a routine task for Valmont Industries. The drone flew for nearly three hours, equipped with a Sony A7RM5 camera, simulating inspections of critical infrastructure such as power lines, railways, and bridges.

According to Valmont, using a conventional inspection method like helicopters would have taken three times longer. Not only was the drone inspection significantly faster, but it was also more fuel-efficient. The entire mission was completed with less than two gallons of fuel. T-Mobile 5G managed to provide live data transfer throughout the three-hour flight.

Congratulations to the Valmont and Harris Aerial teams!
