Dieses Konzept kommt sowohl der Logistik als auch der Sicherheit zugute. Heute erlauben die technischen Bedingungen ihren Einsatz bei kleinen UAV-Motoren. Die Idee dabei ist, einen einzigen Treibstoff f\u00fcr alle Arten von Fahrzeugen zu verwenden, sowohl Boden- als auch Luftfahrzeuge. F\u00fcr Schwer\u00f6ldrohnen wird der gleiche Treibstoff verwendet wie f\u00fcr bemannte Flugzeuge: Kerosin-basierter Treibstoff wie JP-5, JP-8 oder Jet-A1.<\/p>\n<p>Kleine Ottomotoren, die Schwer\u00f6le verwenden, hei\u00dfen HFE (Heavy Fuel Engines) oder Mehrstoffmotoren, da sie mit einer breiten Palette von Kraftstoffen von Benzin bis Diesel arbeiten k\u00f6nnen. Aufgrund ihrer einfachen Konstruktion und ihres geringen Gewichts handelt es sich dabei in der Regel um Zweitaktmotoren.<\/p>\n<p>Hersteller von UAV-Motoren bieten verschiedene L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr den Einsatz von Schwer\u00f6len in Triebwerken kleiner unbemannter Fahrzeuge an. Sie k\u00f6nnen in zwei Hauptgruppen eingeteilt werden: Direkteinspritzung und indirekte Einspritzung.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Direkteinspritzung in Mehrstoffmotoren<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bei der Direkteinspritzung wird der Kraftstoff direkt in den Brennraum eingespritzt. Das australische Unternehmen Orbital ist f\u00fchrend bei der Entwicklung dieser Technologie und viele Hersteller verwenden die Orbital-Technologie, die heute als Air Assisted Direct Injection (AADI) bekannt ist. Orbital hat dieses System bei seinen eigenen FlexDI-Motoren angewendet.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/www.unmannedsystemstechnology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/FlexDI-spark-ignition-technology-for-UAVs-1024x383.png?resize=680%2C254&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"254\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Andere Unternehmen entwickeln HFE-Systeme mit Direkteinspritzung. Die Firma XRDi beispielsweise, die an leichten, kraftstoffsparenden und emissionsarmen Antriebssystemen arbeitet, hat Mehrstoffmotoren (MFE) entwickelt, bei denen eine firmeneigene Konstruktionstechnologie zum Einsatz kommt.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemische (MCDI)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/nOv3_bna0y8\/hqdefault.jpg?resize=550%2C413&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Das MCDI-System verwendet in jedem Zylinder einen kleinen Kompressor, der Kraftstoff und Luft \u00fcber eine D\u00fcse in die Brennkammer einspritzt.<\/p>\n<p>Weitere Beispiele f\u00fcr Direkteinspritzung sind die von Cosworth und Ricardo entwickelten Motoren. Beide verwenden mechanische Einspritzsysteme, die denen bei der mechanischen Dieseleinspritzung in Kraftfahrzeugen \u00e4hneln.<\/p>\n<p>Ricardo Wolverine 3 HFE<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.uasvision.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/Wolverine.jpg?resize=680%2C284&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"284\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Der Schwer\u00f6lmotor der Cosworth AG<\/p>\n<p>Diese Motoren sind hochpreisige L\u00f6sungen und ihre Anwendung ist auf UAVs f\u00fcr milit\u00e4rische Zwecke wie das Insitu EagleScan (Boeing) beschr\u00e4nkt.<\/p>\n<p>Fakt ist, dass der technische Aufwand einer Direkteinspritzung nicht notwendig ist. Viele andere Hersteller haben sich f\u00fcr die indirekte Einspritzung entschieden.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Indirekte Einspritzung in Mehrstoffmotoren<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Die indirekte Einspritzung ist das Einspritzsystem, das \u00fcblicherweise in Fahrzeugen mit Fremdz\u00fcndung (Benzin) verwendet wird. Es ist eine viel kosteng\u00fcnstigere L\u00f6sung als die zuvor vorgestellten.<\/p>\n<p>Die meisten Hersteller von Schwer\u00f6lmotoren haben sich f\u00fcr die indirekte Einspritzung entschieden: 3W, SKY POWER, Sonex Research oder Northwest UAV, um nur einige zu nennen.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/cdn.thumpertalk.com\/uploads\/monthly_2019_05\/image.png.860aa95fe38221e28768410471d81e71.png?w=680&amp;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"407\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Das Hauptproblem von Schwer\u00f6lmotoren mit indirekter Einspritzung ist der Kaltstart. Die Kraftstoffzerst\u00e4ubung ist nicht so gut wie bei Direkteinspritzung und die Gemischz\u00fcndung ist bei indirekten Motoren schwieriger. Aus diesem Grund haben einige Hersteller eigene Systeme entwickelt, um das Starten zu erleichtern. Sie erhitzen den Kraftstoff oder die Brennkammer, um die Verdampfung des Kraftstoffs zu erleichtern.<\/p>\n<p>So entwickelte Sonex Research beispielsweise eine eigene Technologie f\u00fcr Schwer\u00f6lmotoren (HFE). Das Sonex Combustion System (SCS) in Verbindung mit dem patentierten Cold Start System (CSS) erm\u00f6glicht umger\u00fcsteten Motoren mit JP-5, JP-8 oder Jet-A1 einen zuverl\u00e4ssigen Start bei niedrigen Temperaturen.
